English: Bollards To Spare, Langsett Road South, Oughtibridge There is a song about Liverpool with the line 'If you want a Cathedral, We've got one to spare' ... In Oughtibridge it's Bollards to spare. These twelve fine examples have appeared but I'm at a loss as to why? They will stop people driving over the pavement from Glossop Row onto the main road but in the last 15 years I've never known anybody do this. Perhaps the Council had 'some to spare' and Oughtibridge was drawn out of a hat. Bollards is all I can say! |
