building=office is used to tag an office building constructed to house offices. A typical office building has one or more office=* objects inside and is frequently located within a commercial area landuse=commercial.

Note that additional tags may be useful in some situations - for example amenity=townhall, or amenity=courthouse).

Note that some offices (marked with office=*) may also be located in buildings of other types. For example, a former church building repurposed as an office will be still tagged as building=church, possibly with building:use=* on it.
