Insecure links
Hi, apparently this template always uses insecure (http://) links to Wikipedia, even when browsing OSM wiki over https.

<a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/de:OpenStreetMap">

These aren't external links, but crosswiki links; it seems this can't be fixed in the template, but in wiki configuration somewhere. Can anyone help with that? Intgr (talk) 09:02, 27 August 2020 (UTC)

Internationalization

This template needs internationalization. No matter what language wikipedia you push with this template the text returns xxx on wikipedia. If I was to push the Norwegian translation of the page I would like it to say xxx på wikipedia, and in Portuguese xxx no wikipedia. --Skippern 01:35, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

I have added internationalization for Norwegian, Portugese and German. --KTim 15:54, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Text is misleading

This appears on pages like Key:bicycle as "Legal restriction for bicycles on Wikipedia". Which is just wrong. There's a 'W' logo - there's no need to say 'on Wikipedia' too. --Richard (talk) 09:04, 5 October 2017

Use the parameter |text=no and/or |icon=no in the template. Read the template documentation. --Reneman (talk) 12:28, 6 October 2017 (UTC)

Is it useful

Is there a good reason to spam this template in nearly every description of each tag? Why it is considered useful? Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 20:55, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

I propose to remove its use, especially as there is a native linking available random example random example is more readable in both code and rendered form Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 13:41, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

Insecure links
