Updates

  • Advisory Board meeting, yesterday
    • Maggie went
    • Andrew Turner only corporate representation
    • Rory McCann reported on board screen-to-screen
    • Report back on survey results from Allan
      • Maggie and Jennings will look into breakdown
    • Quarterly meetings going forward
    • Anyone else want to represent OSM US? Dani happy to help.

ED Update

  • Charter Projects -- 1 application, Maggie suggests board vote on accepting
  • TeachOSM -- meeting bi-weekly now, ramping up. Collaboration with MS Edu platform. Weekly mappy hours with educators.
  • Gov Committee -- meeting last Monday. Jess Beutler presented on JOSM. Next March 15. Ongoing discussion about pilot projects.
  • CoC Committee -- better define internal processes
  • Please share ideas for 12 months of OSM
  • Budget 2021
    • Nellie for another year
    • Propose hiring part time 35h/month program director. Aim to start April.
    • Needs vote on
    • No need to vote on Maggie salary range
  • Maggie is looking to create an engineering working group. A few folks from within the community and some companies have expressed interest. Minh suggests Ian Dees advise.

New Business

  • Charter Programs
    • 1 Application received, OpenHistoricalMap
    • Committee recommends accepting
    • To vote on next meeting
  • Proposal to create a summary document describing OpenStreetMap
    • Formatted for general public consumption (Not on the wiki)
      • Nice md file for web
      • PDF for post-pandemic flyer
    • Purpose: to give an overview of OSM to address FAQs
    • Audience: corporate representatives, new collaborators, etc.
