Proposal

This proposal aims to add place=community for general, mixed-use communities that are just communities; they're not cities, hamlets, towns, or villages. Mixed-use means that there are multiple spaces within this community used for different industries (residential, commercial, retail, etc.).

Rationale

There are communities that are mixed-use and aren't cities, towns, villages, or hamlets! They are sometimes small, sometimes big, and sometimes part of a municipality's plan.

Tagging

place=community defines a mixed-use community that isn't a city, town, village, or hamlet. It shouldn't be used when it isn't mixed-use. Instead, use the appropriate landuse=* or other tag.
