A shop which almost exclusively sells Christmas paraphernalia, such as Christmas decorations, Christmas trees, and other assorted X-masy items. While Christmas is by definition a seasonal event, such shops sometimes sell their goods all year round. This Yuletide tag is a good fit for those shops which sell canned window frosting and mistletoe even in the midst of July.

How to map

Set a no-hohoho-de node at the center of the shop or draw an area along its outline.

Add the tags shop=christmas and name=*.

Seasonally recurring shops

While a year-round Christmas shop may be the dream of every Kris Kringle, in reality shops fully dedicated to Christmas are rare. Some shopkeepers opt to deck their halls with boughs of holly only during the last few months of the year instead. For shops which are another type of shop for most of the year and become exclusively dedicated to Christmas part of the year for yearly recurring periods of time, a conditional suffix can be used:

shop:conditional = christmas @ <condition>

The value for <condition>, in this case, notes the part of the year during which this shop is a genuine Xmas shop. For example: Okt-Dec.

With seasonal Christmas shops, shop=* will represent the type of shop this is for most of the year, e.g., shop=gift.
