use air photogaphs as layer

I use openlayers with the maps extension in mediawiki wikis. Is it possible to use a local air photo file as a layer within a wiki page? I think it should work somehow like this: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OpenLayers_Local_Tiles_Example Can someone help?
