Please don't use this tag without clarification

Currently this tag has the description "A lifeboat or Marine Rescue station". This is unhelpful - which is it for? How do I map one as distinct from another? The picture on the page shows the lifeboat at Whitby AND the lifeboat station behind it. Nothing on the page explains how to distinguish the two. Tagfiddling (see https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-gb/2023-November/030928.html ) based on this page has unfortunately muddied the waters around previously well-tagged objects so it is now no longer possible to distinguish different classes of objest from each other. Someone has changed the description to "A water search and rescue station, with rescues carried out by boats or other means", which does match the rest of the page better but the fundamental problem still remains - it still doesn't explain (for example) how to tell lifeboats from lifeboat stations.
