This is my proposal.

In OSM, each country uses different route classifications, this causes much confusion!

So why not make a new worldwide classification!

Motorway

If a road is a dual carriageway or has a hard shoulder, should probably be designated as a motorway, exceptions could include the road near Chester in England (i forgor :skull emoji: the route number lmao) and the A55 near Conwy in Wales.

Basically if a route has a hard shoulder but was downgraded (but confirmed) then make that trunk!

Trunk

Trunk routes should be national level routes, no explanation needed!

Regional/Primary

Primary should be province/state etc roads, e.g a regional route in Russia (00-000K) would be a primary, this also includes Russian A roads as they are regional too!, exceptions may be made as it needs to connect the entire nation if a trunk, primary roads do not have to follow this.

Secondary: Any road lower than Primary

Teritary: Lower than Secondary

This is how it should be worldwide I think!
