Chiltern Hills

Known locally as "The Chilterns", The Chiltern Hills are a chalk escarpment and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in South East England[1], extending in a south-westerly direction from the Luton area in the NE to Wallingford and Reading in the SW[2], intersecting the counties of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and Oxfordshire[1].
The area was designated on 26th May 1964 by the Chilterns Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (Designation) Order 1964, as modified on 14th November 1988 by the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (Designation) Variation Order 1988[3].
With the Cotswolds now largely complete, having this large AONB visible in OSM should be a priority. This page is to organise efforts to bring OSM coverage of the Chiltern Hills to an excellent standard.
