February 17, 2022 regular meeting of the OpenStreetMap United States Board of Directors

Call to Order

Minh called the meeting to order at 2pm, Eastern Daylight Time, via video conference.

Present:

• Maggie Cawley (Executive Director)
• Adam Franco (Treasurer)
• Diane Fritz (At Large)
• Minh Nguyễn (President)
• Brian Sperlongano (Secretary)
• Daniela Waltersdorfer (Vice President)

Reports

• The Executive Director (ED) provided an update to the board on OSM US’s activities over the prior month.
  • New servers are coming online from University of Arizona to support the project public domain map project.
  • We are launching a new version of the OSM US tasking manager at https://tasks.openstreetmap.us/.
  • Published blog post update on the Trails Stewardship Project.
  • 2023 board election is on track, OpaVote will go out Saturday, and the recording of the candidates town hall is online.
  • OSM US has welcomed a new intern, Emma, who’s helping with TeachOSM and communications.

New Business

• Without objection, the board approved MapRoulette as a Charter Project.
• The board will provide an annual review to the Executive Director.

Adjournment

• The next board meeting is scheduled for March 23, 2023 at 1pm Eastern Standard Time, to include staff and outgoing board members.
