A key used to indicate that the data from the NaPTAN database import has been verified (with the value yes or no) by a surveyor out in the field.

There has been some debate over the correct way to tag this. The original advice was to delete the tag once verified. Some editors prefer to use naptan:verified=yes. Usage appears to be roughly 50:50 on deleting vs changing to yes.

As of 2024, only a small percentage of the original import has been changed away from naptan:verified=no.

In 2021, talks took place with the developers of StreetComplete to add a quest to help encourage surveying these stops. They stalled due to the complexities involved and lack of community consensus, though it was noted at the time that if the community agreed what such a quest should look like, the talks could be reopened.
