A synchronous condenser (OSM) or synchronous compensator (411-34-03) is a rotating machinery without any mechanical load as to compensate reactive power.
In practice it's an electric_motor which is operated a different voltage regimes and coupling as to provide or absorb reactive power. The motor is fed in DC.

They are mainly found in substations or factories.

How to map

First of all, please refer to general guidelines on power=compensator.

You can use cables=* to indicate how many phases / poles are connected to the AC/DC regulator to fed the motor.
