@Mateusz Konieczny: You've changed the meaning of this tag – so it's your responsibility to explain it here.--Faizal (talk) 00:24, 20 June 2019 (UTC)

  • As far as I can see all parts of my edit are correct. "Human readable link to Wikipedia's article about the brand of the feature" - yes, it is a human readable link to Wikipedia's article. "One may also add brand:wikidata=*" - yes, one may add also brand:wikidata=*, etc. On the other hand your version "If brand:wikidata=* is present this key is largely redundant." is untrue as brand:wikidata=* is not readable or intepretable by human without access to full Wikidata database - compare say brand:wikidata=Q786484 and brand:wikidata=Q487494, it is not obvious which (if any) is a complete nonsense and which one is likely to be useful. "In cases where you want to add a link to the Wikipedia page for a Walmart branch, using brand:wikipedia=en:Walmart is correct."
How can brand:wikipedia=en:Walmart be used for a walmart branch if this tag is about the brand of the feature?--Pa1919 (talk) 22:36, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
