Talk:Key:fitness station

List of equipment types is incomplete

Especially fitness devices equipped with weights are missing, e. g.:

  • machine fly (very common type)
  • (sit-ups)
  • preacher curl
  • bench press
  • leg press
  • leg curl
  • dead lift

Also it would be useful to know whether a user is exercising with his/her own weight or the device is adjustable with weights.

Given that leisure=fitness_station is exclusively used on outdoor and open to public facilities, I can’t think of an exemple where free weights are used as thievery would be an issue (Or a very clever public health nudge). Do you have any?
I have not exactly said "free" weights, just weights. In Slovakia there are a few fitness stations where weights travel along the device making it possible to exercise with different intensity and at the same time preventing them from being stolen. Here is such example (bench press, leg press, preacher curl): https://imgur.com/a/JhoISZX Maybe more important aspect (and what could actually make it into a tag) is whether the device is adjustable - as in this example: https://gfoutdoorfitness.com/adjustable-bench-press/ - the weights are missing but user can still adjust the resistance. --Jose1711 (talk) 07:47, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
Wow that’s really impressive, I’ve never seen that before! In that case maybe a suffix such as fitness_station:weight=* could work as it’s used for obelisk:weight=*. The values could be a semicolon list, "adujstable" or "yes".--Lejun (talk) 16:39, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
Thank you, that sounds reasonable. I will try to add more machine types as soon as I make photos of them. Here you can see couple more (page in Slovak but images speak for themselves): https://www.verimevzabavu.sk/katalog/vonkajsie-fitness --Jose1711 (talk) 20:17, 18 May 2022 (UTC)
Here is another example of a device with weights: https://octago.sk/tlaky-na-lavicke --Jose1711 (talk) 20:29, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
