Move to 'Power and communication'

Would it make sense to increase the scope of this article to 'Power and communication'. It would then cover how to tag telephone lines and communications towers etc as well as electricity distribution. This is part of a general consolidation effort to merge related feature pages and expand the scope of others. Other examples include a suggested merge of tagging information from 'Hiking' and 'Walking Routes' into 'Walking and hiking' and to expand the scope of 'Leisure' to 'Sports and leisure'). Power station - sub-station discussion on tagging email list

There is an extensive discussion of the use of 'power station' and 'sub-station' descriptors on the tagging e-mail list. See http://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2013-January/thread.html for access to the January 2013 archive and http://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2013-January/012656.html for the initial post. --Ceyockey 13:51, 26 January 2013 (UTC)

Move guidance to national pages

Guidance part is becoming too large and would deserve national pages dedicated to specific countries.
Have a look to French one here : WikiProject_Power_networks/France

Countryspecific paragraph

I propose to move the country specific hints to an external page if they are longer than a few lines, like France and UK are already dealing with it. This concerns for example the Philippines, where people have added a lot of detail to the generic wiki, which makes the page quite long. —Dieterdreist (talk) 23:44, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
