Retaining wall

Is it useful to mention barrier=retaining_wall ? It seems to be as distinct as nay other barrier, tyres are not going to be used as retaining wall. It seems to me if retaining wall is listed we mat as well list all barrier values Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 09:03, 10 January 2021 (UTC)

Sure, tyres are used to build retaining walls. Check any image search or web search [[ https://www.google.com/search?q=retaining+wall+tyres&client=safari&rls=en&sxsrf=ALeKk03ByZAXxkOICbKeHCJWhEWxEm72jg:1610325731434&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiF9sbp0pLuAhU5JTQIHbvBDpUQ_AUoAnoECB8QBA&biw=1390&bih=814%7Cfor many examples]]. --Jeisenbe (talk) 00:43, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
Interesting. I was not expecting this to be possible (though given that I just read this looking at that photos is a bit scary) Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 11:56, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
The stuff that is killing our salmon is probably released from the microscopic particles of tyres which are abraded while they are being used on motor vehicles, and then get washed into streams. Once you take the tyres off of the car and half-bury them in the ground, they are probably doing much less harm. But yes, this is yet another reason that cars suck. ;-) --Jeisenbe (talk) 05:01, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
