What value of service=* for crossovers on spurs or in rail yards?

The page suggested until now that this tag might be used in rail yards. The definition also might work for crossovers between two spur tracks. However, discussion at github and at the railwaymap forum suggests this tag is intended only for crossovers between parallel railway=* tracks with usage=main or usage=branch. See [[1]] and [[2]]. Should the page be updated to suggest that this tag not be used between two spur tracks or in rail yards, and service=spur or service=yard be used instead? --Jeisenbe (talk) 05:19, 31 July 2019 (UTC)
