leasing-only
What about place that is only leasing cars, for years/months? It is not short term rental (amenity=car_rental) but strictly speaking it is also not selling. I am pretty sure that long-term leases also fall under shop=car but want to verify it before adding. Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 06:11, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- TBMK they aren't usually at a car yard / dealer as such, but are more of a financial office somewhere else. You choose a car that you'd like, do the paper work for the lease agreement (which, these days, may possibly be completely done online?), then go back to the dealer to take delivery of the car. --Fizzie41 (talk) 07:02, 20 March 2023 (UTC)

- Posting "car:rental=*,car:repair=*,car:parts=*,motorcycle:rental=*" or "car:rental=*, car:repair=*, car:parts=*, motorcycle:rental=* or "car:rental,car:repair,car:parts,motorcycle:rental" remains possible Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 18:53, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- How about cleaning up the mess the ID admins introduced ? https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2018-May/036119.html. Doesn't look as if any tool could handle this https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/search?q=service%3Avehicle#keys. It's especially messy when mixed with the other (senseless) "service" prefix https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/search?q=service%3Abicycle#keys.
