User:Alux/using references

Eventually I'd like this page to move into the main namespace and for it to be linked to from the Template:Reference_copyright_warning.

Supplied links should be used for reference only, e.g. Before surveying a location, to find any data like listed status, to verify that a location is under contruction (to stop armchair mappers reverting changes to what they can see on arial imagry) etc.

If there are links to maps, the maps should obvioulsy not be used unless they are under the correct licence. Links could be used to contact the sites to tell them about OSM and get them to swap map poviders.
